Lobby opens at 6:30 pm for live jazz, light fare and cocktails
From time to time, members of the orchestra get the opportunity to perform as soloists in front of the orchestra. On Thursday, this concert will be performed in Frederick, MD with a slight change of program. Our Assistant Concertmaster Igor Yusefovich will perform the Mendelssohn violin concerto.

The BSO returns on September 28th with a two week tribute to Dmitri Shostakovitch, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Our conductor will be Music Director Emeritus Yuri Temirkanov. You can read the BSO's press release about these concerts here.

Some of us were very busy in August. Five BSO musicians were in Hong Kong, teaching the students of the Asian Youth Orchestra. Others were at music festivals around the USA, including the Grand Teton Music Festival.
